2020 is coming to an end, and it is time to reflect on what went well, and what could have gone better in order to put things in place to make improvements. If your business is like many small businesses, then often things get improved when they become urgent, and not necessarily before.
This year has been very different, but what an organization can take from 2020 is some lessons learned from adversity that the organization experienced or that its team noticed happening in other organizations around them.
We want to share some of our observations and areas our team wants to work on, and we hope it will help you as well!
PROBLEM: When in a rush to get things done, steps can be missed. Later this causes significant stress to keep things on track effecting not just the one project but the day to day workflow.
SOLUTION: Allocate time weekly for non-urgent but important work in areas that will help us serve our customers in a better way.
PROBLEM: Detail oriented businesses can have trouble supplying all relevant information to customers and vendors at the correct times.
SOLUTION: Using technology to automate some aspects of giving and receiving information and communicating clearly and regularly with our customers and vendors. Even if the communication is a simple proactive “We don’t know yet, we’re finding out for you!” This method allows us to keep orders on track and allows all parties to know the status of their projects, and quality and timeliness stay top notch!
PROBLEM: Information overload is a real thing we experience, as do our customers!
SOLUTION: We regularly share blogs and videos on our Website and YouTube channel that contain relevant and useful marketing industry trends and knowledge! We want to assist our audience in being as knowledgeable as possible, so they’re able to be more effective in reaching out to their audience!
We truly love what we do to help our customers thank, invite, excite, recognize, and reward those important to their organizations and to help them achieve their goals using the fun media of custom branded merchandise and apparel! We hope that during this holiday season, as 2020 closes we all reflect on what good we have in our world. We all should take time to spend with family and friends and look for areas where we can make an impact going into 2021.
We will be available to our customers during the final weeks of the year should they need to use up remaining funds or have leftover budgets for 2020 and get some great marketing tools or corporate gifts to start 2021 with a bang!
Thank you and all the best for the holidays from our team to yours.
